ABOUT THE PROJECT
Milan Palma’s approach to what he designs and creates is a very personal one. His experience as the head designer of accessories at one of the world’s leading Denim brands has lead him to long for more authenticity, to create bold, elegant, honest products unmistakably distinguishable from their peers in quality and detail. In this animation you see him create the weekender bag with craftmanship, creativity and a little bit of movie magic.
OUR ROLE
Working together with Milan Palma to found out in how many steps a classic leather bag like the weekender is made. And then it’s a just question about show, don’t tell. Around 8000 photo’s were made to create this stop-motion animation. The bag is made more or less in real time as we had to shoot chronologically, every Milan Palma is unique so a “stunt double” bag was out of the question. Music by Cullah – To the Rhythm of the Funk
